Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
FuelLog is a free web app for tracking workouts and nutrition, run by an individual developer based in the United States ("we," "us," or "FuelLog"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and us when you use FuelLog at jacksonvel.com/workout and the app at jacksonvel.com/workout/app (together, the "Service"). Please read them — they're written to be readable.
1. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use FuelLog. If you're using FuelLog on behalf of someone else, you're confirming you're allowed to accept these Terms for them.
2. Who can use FuelLog
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service. FuelLog isn't designed for children, and we don't have the parental-consent tools that younger users would require. By using FuelLog you confirm you're 16 or older.
3. Your account
You sign up with an email address and a password. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Please use a password you don't reuse elsewhere.
If you forget your password, you can reset it. Use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen and we'll email a reset link to the address on your account; that link lets you set a new password. Reset links can expire, so if one stops working just request a new one. Because the reset link goes to your email, keep access to that inbox, and — since we don't otherwise verify email addresses at sign-up — make sure you register with an email address you actually control.
If you think someone else has accessed your account, email us at jacksonveljkovic@gmail.com.
4. Acceptable use
When using FuelLog, please don't:
- Break the law, or use FuelLog to harm, harass, or deceive others.
- Try to access other users' accounts or data.
- Probe, scan, overload, or attack the Service, or try to break, reverse engineer, or get around its security or technical limits.
- Scrape, resell, or bulk-extract the Service or its content, or use bots to hammer it.
- Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the Service, especially where it threatens other users or the Service itself.
5. Your data and content
The information you log — workouts, bodyweight, meals, goals, and settings — belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
6. Fitness and medical disclaimer — please read this
FuelLog is a tracking and information tool. It is not a medical service, and nothing in it is medical, health, nutritional, or professional advice. We are not doctors, dietitians, or trainers, and using FuelLog does not create any provider-patient or professional relationship.
- Talk to a professional first. Consult your physician or a qualified health provider before starting, changing, or stopping any exercise program, diet, or nutrition plan — especially if you're pregnant, have a medical condition or injury, or take medication.
- Exercise has risks; you accept them. Lifting weights and physical training carry a real risk of injury. You choose your own exercises, weights, and effort, and you do so at your own risk. Stop and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, or distress.
- Suggestions are just suggestions. Features like estimated one-rep max, plateau or deload hints, progression suggestions, recommended meals, streaks, and calorie or protein targets are automated estimates and general information — not a prescription. Use your own judgment and, where appropriate, a professional's.
- Nutrition numbers are estimates. Calorie and macro values come from general databases (for example, USDA-derived per-100g values) and may not match a specific food, brand, or portion. Don't rely on them for medical decisions or where precise nutrition matters (for example, managing a health condition).
In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Don't delay getting help because of anything you saw in FuelLog.
If tracking food or weight is affecting your wellbeing. FuelLog is a tracking tool, not treatment — it isn't designed to diagnose, treat, or manage an eating disorder or any medical condition. If logging calories or weight is causing you distress, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional, or contact an eating-disorder support service in your area.
7. AI features
FuelLog offers optional AI features powered by a third-party service (Anthropic's Claude API): estimating a meal's nutrition from a description or a photo you submit, generating a workout routine from what you ask for, and explaining how to perform an exercise. All of these outputs are approximate, are produced by an automated model, and can be materially wrong. Only the text, photo, or request you choose to submit is processed for the feature you're using, and it's handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Don't treat AI output as exact, as measured values, or as medical, health, nutritional, or fitness advice — AI-generated routines and exercise instructions are general information, and the fitness and medical disclaimer in section 6 above applies to them just as it does to everything else in FuelLog.
8. The Service is provided "as is"
FuelLog is a free product built and maintained by one person. We work to keep it running and to protect your data, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time. Please keep your own copies of anything important to you.
9. Our content and intellectual property
The FuelLog name, app, design, code, text, and other materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Service for your own use under these Terms. That permission doesn't let you copy, resell, or build a competing product from it. You keep ownership of the data you enter.
10. Paid plans (coming later)
FuelLog is free today. We've mentioned a future "Pro" plan, but no paid features exist yet and nothing is being charged. If and when we introduce paid plans, we'll show you the price, billing terms, renewal details, and cancellation and refund policy clearly, and you'll have to agree to them before any charge is made. Signing up free today does not obligate you to pay for anything.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using FuelLog anytime. You can permanently delete your account and its data yourself from the Account screen in the app, or email jacksonveljkovic@gmail.com and we'll take care of it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, misuse the Service, or where we need to for legal or safety reasons. Some sections of these Terms — like the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property — continue to apply after your account ends.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA, ESTIMATE, CALCULATION, OR SUGGESTION IT PROVIDES IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, FUELLOG AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE — INCLUDING ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR HEALTH OUTCOME RELATED TO EXERCISE, DIET, OR NUTRITION DECISIONS, AND ANY RELIANCE ON ESTIMATES OR SUGGESTIONS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH, FOR THE FREE SERVICE, IS $0) OR US $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW CERTAIN LIABILITY LIMITS, SO SOME OF THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND NOTHING HERE LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CAN'T BE LIMITED BY LAW.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable U.S. federal law. You and we agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and both of us consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts — unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as FuelLog grows or the law changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for meaningful changes we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know (for example, a notice in the app). Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
